Ledbury Festival 2007 Reminder

This just in from the Poetry Society: Ledbury Poetry Festival 2007 (29 June-8 July) is running plenty of events, workshops and activities that you can get involved in. There are slams, open mikes, opportunities to learn about reading and writing poetry, performing poetry and much, much more. On Saturday 30 June the festival takes to the streets and there will surprises and treats for all the family. There are poets coming from all over the world, talks, theatre events, comic and deadly serious events, films and a pop concert. All inspired by the rich and wonderful world of poetry.

Don't miss the Poetry Society's event on Friday 6 July hosted by Poetry Review Editor, Fiona Sampson, welcoming leading writers who will feature in the Summer issue of this prestigious magazine: National Poetry Competition winner and former Ledbury Poetry Competition winner, Mike Barlow, Forward Prize winner, David Harsent, author of A Bird's Idea of Flight and Legion. Fiona Sampson's new book from Carcanet is Common Prayer.

The event will be held in the Burgage Hall, 12.45-1.45pm. Tickets £6, free for Poetry Society Members.
