A second volume is due in early 2010 and he is currently working on a novel set in Romania. He has won recent prizes in many leading UK poetry competitions such as the Bridport and Scottish National (twice). He was a finalist in the Hammer & Tongue London Poetry Slam earlier this year and is a member of the poetry performance collective The Joy of Six which has performed at festivals across England & Wales and in New York.

“One of the best performers we’ve seen – entertaining, humane, poignant – a natural poetic voice.” (Leicester Poetry Society)

“There's an element of Raymond Carver about these poems, in their humanity, their poignancy, their story-telling tightness … “ (George Szirtes)

“Mixer’ is a glorious book.- he looks through a glass (or bottle) brightly at so many aspects of humanity ... great premise, excellent execution.” (Alicia Ostriker, US poet)
