ABERDEEN: Poetry Aberdeen - the relaunch

Thursday, 24th June, 2010, 7pm–9pm, FREE
The Coffee House,
1 Gaelic Lane,
Aberdeen
AB10 1JF

Founded in 2003 as Dead Good Poets, Poetry Aberdeen has been run for seven years by Gerard Rochford. Gerard is now stepping down and handing the reins to the North East Writers team. We wish him well, and hope our regulars will continue to be stimulated and entertained by these monthly events.

To relaunch Poetry Aberdeen in its new form in the hands of North East Writers, we feature a showcase of poets who are past and present members of the North East Writers team, so that you know who we are! The poets appearing tonight are Sheila Reid, Rapunzel Wizard, Olivia McMahon, Grant Fraser, Mark Pithie and Haworth Hodgkinson.

There will be open floor spots where you can read your own poetry, and maybe the odd spot of music too. Enjoy the poetry, enjoy the coffee, enjoy the atmosphere!
