Drawing on the work of poet soldiers who are serving, or have served in Iraq or Afghanistan, a unique viewpoint from poets who are experiencing war at firsthand. Introduced by Max Hastings, distinguished military historian and Christina Lamb, war correspondent for the Sunday Times the evening features:

Brian Turner - a former US Marine whose book Here, Bullet is the most acclaimed poetry collection to emerge from Iraq.
Lieutentant-Colonel Jonathan Brown, still on active service in Iraq; and Major David Hamilton who formerly served in Afghanistan.
