Open Mic with the Carlton Poets, Weston-super-Mare

Thursday 29th March at 7.30pm.

The Carlton Poets next optional theme is 'HORROR' for their March event. Ground-floor venue at The Carlton Centre, Carlton Street, in the centre of Weston-super-Mare with plentiful car parking right next door. This event is held on the last Thursday of the month.

They have also arranged their next public performance to be on Sunday 13th May; it will be called 'An Evening of Song & Verse'. Please let them know ASAP if you would like to take part.

They also need people to arrange publicity (newspaper and radio) and help on the evening with ticket sales etc. and they’d like everyone to be actively involved in advance ticket selling. As before, all profits will go to Weston Hospicecare.

The theme for April will be 'MISCELLANY' so that people can try out pieces they hope to perform in public (2 each), and everyone can read poems old and new on any subject. Due to hall rental, entry charges may have to increase to £1.50 (80p concessions) - unless they get 20 or more people regularly.
