London
The unremitting misery of January banished, Hammer and Tongue warmly welcomes you to February's London night of depravity, top flight poetry and obscure foodstuffs at Camden's warmest, cosiest drinking den, the Green Note Cafe. Shipped in from the far antipodes, Australia's favourite performance poet and Nimbim World Cup winner Tug Dumbly will be doling out his very unique brand of macabre storytelling and ably supported by Brighton's poetry brothel keeper, Chris Parkinson.
The first eight lithe, primed poets to sign up for the slam get in for free and the winner will go on to compete in the London Hammer and Tongue slam final later in the Spring. Our London champion will be pitted against the nation's finest, with the winner going to to perform with us at Glastonbury, and many an exciting place on top of that.
