Lunchtime readings by authors either attached to or visiting the university take place on the first Thursday of every month.
Joanna Boulter is a graduate from our MA in Writing Poetry who has published three pamphlets and the collection The Hallucinogenic Effects of Breathing. She is a founder member of the Darlington women's writing co-operative Vane Women. Joanna will be reading from her latest collection 24 Preludes and Fugues on Dmitri Shostakovich (Arrowhead).
Valerie Laws' latest poetry collection is Quantum Sheep (Peterloo Poets), published November 2006. She is currently writer in residence at Gordon Museum of Pathology, Guy's Hospital, London, working with a visual artist and a sculptor.
