PERFORMERS WANTED to enter Utter!'s 'Ajar Mic' contest

'Utter!' is Harringey's Arts Council funded poetry, story-telling and
music extravaganza, which takes place on the last Wednesday of every
month at the sumptuous Salisbury Pub, 1 Grand Parade, Green Lanes N4
1Jx (inbetween Manor House and Turnpike Lane tube stations).

Every month we welcome four intrepid new performers to give us their
all for 5 minutes each - music, poetry, storytelling, comedy, whatever
you like - with the audience voting a winner. Each winner gets a paid
slot at the next month's Utter! plus a chance to join previous winners
Phil Philmar, Joshua Idehen, Jack Shamash and Donal Dempsey in our
August 29th final where the ultimate victor, again voted for by the
audience, will walk away with a cool £150 prize, sponsored by Word for
Word Wood Green writing group - the biggest open-entry live literature
prize in London, if not the world! (Possibly.)

As you can imagine these slots book up early but we still have slots
available for March 28th, May 30th, June 27th and July 25ths' Utter!s,

the competition, all hosted by Richard Tyrone Jones

Weds March 28th: A.F. Harrold, John Anstiss, Yemisi Blake, Angela
Cleland and last month's competition winner hosted by Lee Nelson

Weds April 25th: Steve Tasane, Project Adorno, Dean Wilson, Kevin
Reinhardt and last month's winner plus Kim Wells, Steven Sumner,
vocalist Kwali and Ash in the competition, with guest host John
Citizen

Weds May 30th: Cult novelist Stewart Home, Tim Wells and comedian and
poet Tim Key plus others TBA, and in the competition Germander
Speedwell, Raymond Blake and Sarah Verrinder, hosted by Richard Tyrone
Jones
