Start 2013 with a bang! Sunday 13th January
2013 is the first Jazz Verse Jukebox of the year. And what a line-up! Featuring
Actor, Jazz trumpeter & songwriter Colin Salmon, ‘the Queen of British
performance poetry’ Francesca Beard, Poet & Actress Deanna Rodger &
2011 Roundhouse Poetry Slam champion Zia Ahmed plus music from
singer/songwriter Rosie Adé & from Jumoké Fashola. Join us for what
promises to be a thrilling night of diverse spoken word & jazz from some of
the freshest exponents on the scene at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Soho
(Upstairs).
Since its inception in 2009, the Jazz Verse
Jukebox, (the brainchild of broadcaster & Vocalist Jumoké Fashola), has
welcomed established poets & musicians such as Lemn Sissay, Soweto Kinch,
Michael Horovitz, David Grant, Anthony Joseph, Jacob Sam-La Rose & Katrina
Naomi. Join us for what promises to be a thrilling night of diverse
spoken word & jazz from some of the freshest exponents on the scene. Plus
live jazz trio & Open Mic. With cushions to lounge on, cocktails to
imbibe & surprises, this is one night not to miss!

Come & sing with our amazing house band
